The ACES Anthology 2024

The Aces Anthology 2024 follows up on the 2023 edition with 23 new entries from Northern Nevada-based writers. Fourteen authors were featured in the 2023 edition, with nine others making their debuts here. Some have written as many as 40 or 50 books, while others are relative newcomers. Bestselling and award-winning authors are featured side-by-side with emerging writers. Whether traditionally or independently published, what these stories have in common is a passion for writing and a love of the singular swath of land that stretches from Lake Tahoe west to Ely and Elko: a land of majestic mountains, painted deserts, bustling cities, and ghost towns.

Many have chosen to set their stories in this region, whether in the present day, the recent past, or in the colorful era of the Old West. In the pages of this anthology, you'll read stories of faerie creatures, time travel, human relationships, ghosts, and pioneers. You'll find touching stories of love and loss, a dash of horror, and a few unexpected twists.

Many of the authors included in this work are also showcased on a website dedicated to displaying and promoting their works: ACES of Northern Nevada. ACES (the Authors' Collective e-Shop) is an online hub set up like a virtual bookstore and designed to introduce local authors to readers from across the region and beyond.
